  Twingo GT

*electrically controlled

There are car manufacturers who compete with their tuners, others integrate them fully and while others are cooperating wisely with them. Daimler masters all three game types. The developed the Twingo together with Renault, a priori probably with the now powerful engine variant. Renault even confirm the participation of its motorsport specialists.

Now when Renault offers its Twingo GT, there comes a little more light into Daimlers relationship to Brabus. So there are absolutely no changes to the engine. The currently most powerful Smart variant is delivered, including the dual tailpipes and the air inlet on the left as a counterweight to the fuel filler flap on the right.

So we have simply taken over the values of the Smart Brabus, although Renault has still not published all. Only the power has been adjusted from 109 to 110 hp.

The company Brabus only adds equipment, while Daimler uses the reputation of Brabus as engine tuner to launch the most powerful Smart model. But in the case of a Brabus Smart, there are much more choices possible than with the Twingo GT, probably a bit more tasteful than the two black stripes on the Renault-roof (picture 6 and 7 below).

Typical of a car with rear-mounted engine is the larger diameter of the stabilizer at the front axle. If the newly adjusted ESP allows, the new car will oversteer a little, but easier to control. Interesting will be the price of the Twingo GT. Then we can see what the additional participation of Daimler and Brabus costs. 06/16
