Of course you don't need it and it will not have everyone, but many, an incredible number more than can afford it. This convertible combines more than just two worlds, for example, folding and soft top. Normal are bows made of thick steel wire. Thereby the soft top swings in wide curves from one to another, just as it is not beneficial for a low air resistance.

Porsche's engineers have the bows in the top area so widened, that they form quasi a folding top. Thus the cloth top looks no longer set up so, but can reproduce well the proportions of the coupe. So that the whole will be not so much heavier and also the center of gravity is not raised, is used for the new shape of the bows magnesium material.

Of course, the new 911 convertible is slightly heavier than the coupe, but both are lighter than their predecessors, despite the greater surface area. That the roof do not need a helping hand and it also can be opened and closed up to 50 km/h, had been expected. But here the wind deflector (Fig. 6) is rolling electrically into position, too.

The indicated fuel consumption we do not believe anyway, but the car will be environmentally friendly thanks to the price not less than 100,000. This is truly sustainable, because who will deal with this car as a everyday car? The convertibles are already the major beneficiaries of a lot of care and less demands.

Although the car is barely inferior to its closed brothers. And 1.450 kg for the lightest version is not half bad. Compare it with the current Opel Astra. And the times of 0-100 km/h have already arrived at a value, the actually allows only subtle comparisons. Nevertheless, the horizontally opposed engine needs speed ... 02/12
