We have added a picture of the 280 GTi to illustrate the width of philosophy with the darkened rear. You can see that at the 208 exactly reversed, the rear end has the lighter colour. How fortunate that there are only two GTi models at Peugeot. No, following the German page of Peugeot there should be no possibility, this GTi to order plain-coloured like on the pictures below. However, you can mitigate the gradation significantly through specific colour choice.
You have to compare the 308 GTi already almost with the VW Golf R, because it probably significantly exceeds the GTI with performance and price also. Of course, the Golf R is 5,000 euros more expensive, has 22 kW (30 hp) more and, probably because of its 2 litres cubic capacity even 50 Nm in addition. But the price difference is to relativize on the one hand by the all-wheel drive of the R, but also by its options list, with e.g. a navigation system that is standard on the 308 GTi.
For 5,000 euros less there is from Peugeot the GT although with 48 kW (65 PS) less, but you also lose still one second from zero to hundred. And the difference of 15 km/h in the top speed is in any case negligible in practice. Since it is, however, the same basic engine, for example, it's to expect that the consumption figures are similar with the same driving style.
Beneficial how one abstained from particularly sporty appearance (except for colour choice). Only the air intakes have become slightly larger by waiving fog lights and the Peugeot logo now appears discreetly in red colour. Rear limit the two tailpipes on the left and right a black Inlet, which might be viewed as a diffuser. Even the chrome frame around the lateral glazing has remained.
One turns at sophisticated equipment the 'fur inside' nowadays, the 308 GTi is no exception here. The seats, specially manufactured for the GTI, are the highlight of the interior. However, they are so voluminous that one can not fold down the rear seat backrest depending on the position of the front seats. Red topstitching and printed Peugeot sport logos do the rest. Also the inevitable GTi logo in the steering wheel is not missing. Front you sit certainly gorgeous, but rear it's a disaster for tall people even at only occasional presence, when you e.g. look at the headrests. 10/15
