Peugeot emblem now in the middle of the front part.

Perhaps for some viewers the light chain above the headlights is not so really acceptable, but overall the front is clearly improved. The headlights together with the general trend anyway, but also the radiator grille and the underlying front apron including fog lights.

Mirrorlink®, Android Auto® and Apple CarplayTM

Inside there is now a digital display above the steering wheel. The strongly on touchscreen control based system offers additional voice control. The navigation is now available in 3D optics and with ongoing traffic monitoring. Also the well-known assistants from the 3008 are available.

From a technical point of view, we have to notice the particulate filter downstream of the 3-way catalytic converter in the case of particularly economical direct fuel injection. Here, the gasoline engine is always more similar to the diesel and then has the same exhaust gas problems. The system in the Peugeot three-cylinder is a system with 'passive regeneration'.

The new diesel engine with 96 kW (130 hp) is clearly already further, namely with an SCR system with AdBlue injection. Obviously only such systems in Diesel engines are fit for the exhaust gas regulations with road tests already in 2018. The 308 GT will be available with a 132 kW (180 hp) version, together with the new Aisin eight-speed automatic transmission (picture below).

Also the six-speed gearbox (picture below) comes now from Aisin. Additionaly there is an announcement of a start-stop system 'from 20 km/h on'. Whatever that may be, we'll stick to it . . .05/17
