It is the first car, produced again after the Second World War. The destroyed factory in Rüsselsheim reconstructed. The Kapitän may not be made because of limited displacement of the occupying forces to 1.5 liters. So the Opel Blitz in 1946 follows the Olympia in 1947.

The Kadett anyway will it not give until 1962, because its production facilities were transported to Russia as war reparations. So the Olympia remains the cheapest Opel product.
