2016 Mini Countryman
A little bit more than 3,800 euros is more expensive the new Mini Countryman , but also 20 centimeters longer and depending on equipment more than 100 kg heavier. You will not notice during acceleration, because
in performance and torque the engines have significantly increased, even with reduced CO2 values. Only the tank capacity has become slightly larger. And maybe because they were not quite sure
rising the prices so much the (old) Mini One Countryman is offered at the same basic price.
The 'all-wheel drive' option has also become somewhat more expensive (+200 Euro). It can now also be ordered with the less powerful model. Approx. 60(!) percent of the buyers order it. 'Get out of the
City' is the motto, while remaining as chic as possible. The former speedometer in the middle has now been upgraded as a touch-screen, but can also be operated with a rotary-/press plate.
The rear seat bench, which is adjustable in many ways, has remained, the leg space of which has increased. After all, 7 centimeters in the wheelbase have been added. In the luggage compartment, the plus is even
100 liters with 5 persons onboard. A joke is the designation seat bench for a simple fold-down seat cushion (Figure 4, top). The same job could be done by a ceiling, which anyway drivers should carry with them for
any emergency.

Still missing the reference to the first plug-in hybrid, which is to drive theoretically 40 km on electric energy. Its technology comes from the BMW 2 Series, with which the new Mini has much in common, too. It is true,
the Countryman is designated as a compact SUV. But who however is searching for a lot of space with similar technology, perhaps should have a look to the 2er series BMW, which in the basic equipment still is 1000
euro more expensive. It has the same height, but is a little bit longer. However, it has not the same flair . . . 10/16
