The vehicle is the present high point of Wankel development at Mazda. The engine becomes powerful and stable. It fulfills all the required emissions requirements, there are only disadvantages with the fuel consumption. Because of the side intakes at Mazda can always only a maximum of two chambers combined in an engine. Therefore had to grow the chamber volume. For high speeds and light revving the pistons were facilitated significantly.
Worth to mention at this car are in any case the extremely rare four doors for the coupe and the lack of the B-pillar. Like the Ro 80 then the new engine combined with a very modern body, is here also to feel the courage for innovations.
