No, the promised reduction in weight up to 190 kilograms can not be identified based on the data by comparing. After all, the four-cylinder diesel has become smaller. Thereby, its performance is somewhat shrunken but its CO2 values significantly more.

The design complements cleverly old Jaguar virtues. These are saloons acting through skilful curves as coupes. That makes them light and covetous. The XF has built and sold more than a quarter million times since 2007. It seems to be liked and probably even more after this facelift. Minimal shorter, in wheelbase it has gained by about 5 centimetres. One promises a little more space in the back seat.

On the first glance the XF seems to be a reasonably priced automobile. After all, it has become even slightly cheaper, seen from the acquisition cost, by weaker four-cylinder engines. But woe, you let yourself seduce. On models with V6 engines are directly hanging to approximately 20,000 euros higher price tags. Only then there are the fine adjustment possibilities for chassis, transmission and engine characteristics.

And only for petrol engines (?), there is then a four wheel drive system that can automatically adjust to different weather and road conditions. But also the cars driven by 'only' two wheels do not have to suffer thanks to Torque Vectoring. And the S- and R-version will push up prices upward with ease.

It's absolutely worthwhile to look into the interior (video below). If has ever had a positive effect this rather cautious modernity of the British, then at this dashboard. Rarely, a supplier of the upper middle class has integrated so unexcited instruments such as a 12-inch screen. To that then does fit the sinking of the operating unit and turning away the ventilation slots when not in use, seemingly like a little gimmick. 08/15
