2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid PlugIn

Now the trio of pure electric cars, hybrid and plug-in hybrid is perfect. In contrast to the first one, cooling air is for a hybrid quite necessary. So nearly the same front as the pure combustion cars except for a small blue (or silver) bar at the bottom. The plug-in has even a tank cap at the front and at the rear on the left side.

Like the purely electric Ionic already has this car here LED light together with basic equipment. On the supplement to the with 24,000 euros quite cheap hybrid version one may be curious. The cW-value is impressive again with only 0.24, although the maximum speed, which follows the individual power stages, speaks a different language.

The data did not change except for the battery capacity, the empty weight and the luggage compartment (-100 liters). The pure combustion cars have smaller displacement petrol engines, but the direct injection is common. The fact that you can not simply add the power of the combustion engine and electric motor is due to the different nominal speeds.

Although the battery is partly under the rear seat bench and the roof drops to the rear like in a coupé, the headroom rear is not really objectionable. Blue lines are found not only outside e.g.on the rims, but also in the interior, partly contrasting with the gray dashboard. There are still buttons remaining, so less puzzles.

Except for an unusual noise for an electric car at full acceleration, the car is comfortable to drive, habituation need a bit the switching operations of the double clutch transmission in the pure electric drive, may be saving energy. 05/17
