At the height of the Americanisation of the design of most German manufacturers this Ford appears as a typical case in point. Though the windscreen and rear window are not modelled around the corners, otherwise, the car disposes of all accessories: the extraordinary fenders, curved around the vehicle, the specially put on indicators, in the width stretching chrome grill, the Two-colour painting, separated by chrome trim. Inside, the cloth is decorated with golden threads, rear fins which end in extraordinary rear lights (figure 3), and so on.
Just the early bezel of the headlights causes a lot of air resistance. Ford competes with Opel (GM) and both manufacturers increase the equipment. Even about the dates of the presentations they quarrel with Opel. Opel just wins. None of them waits for the International Motor Show. The Ford factory in Cologne belong again to the Americans, as if we had not noticed this in the design. But all together the federal republic is goopy in everything American. Just compare the Opel Rekord P1, Opel Rekord A and Mercedes 190.
