It was the square Ford, ever. The design is joined with S. Knudsen, since 1968 the new boss of Ford. The thought that was aggressive design and prescribed the nose, which could be borrowed from architecture. Even otherwise, this model is different yet again from his predecessors, it had rear-wheel drive instead front drive and could thus be re-equipped with six cylinders. As always, there was a large range of engines. Also new was the safety steering column.
