The development of the model series did not bring the hoped-for independent wheel suspension for the rear axle. Instead came - almost even more welcome - a large hatchback. Why, however, the roof was now covered with plastic will probably remain forever a mystery in the annals of Ford. All in all the design looked fresh and made the car appealing for another four years. However, it remained with these tentative changes and for now the last of his kind. There was no successor to it.
