 1906 Fiat 130 HP
Let's talk about the racing of those days following the video above the 1906 French Grand Prix. One took part with three cars, one of which failed due to an accident. Please note that the cubic capacity was more than twice as

More than 16 liters and even the rated speed significantly increased. But the engine was no longer designed with a long stroke. Very noteworthy, the engine control, unusual for the time with overhead valves, hemispherical
combustion chamber and central spark plugs.
It was a new formula that allowed larger and heavier engines, i.e. no longer the weight, but limited the consumption to 30 l/100km. With the new layout, Fiat was better able to assert itself against the French that had been
leading up to that point.

A Renault won, but in second place after 12 hours 46 minutes 26 seconds came Felice Nazzaro with co-driver and fifth after 14 hours 22 minutes 11 seconds Vinzenzo Lancia. Both won the Targa Florio in the same order
and they were also very successful at a race in Germany, as was Nazzaro (1st place at 114 km/h) at the French GP in 1907.
