In relation to the season, it is probably the most successful Formula 1 Ferrari of all time. After the first two races were contested by the 2001-car, it wins 14 out of 15 of the following races and labeled so the 2002 season to the most boring since McLarren dominated similar in 1988. It allows Michael Schumacher finally to draw level with the 5 World Championships of Juan Manuel Fangio and both pilots next to the first and second place in the Drivers World Championship to increase the record of constructors' points to 221.
The car is also used in the first three races of 2003, but is no more successful. Its design characteristics compared with the winning car of 2001 are hidden in the aerodynamics and a changed transmission, which is lighter and switches faster.
