Dodge Ram 1500

In USA also with 3,6L-V6.

The name can be written with lower cases or capitalized, is somewhat typical for a big SUV-Pickup. It goes back to Lee Iacocca as Chrysler's CEO and his team, who, with an old logo, wanted to revive the tradition of Dodge Trucks in 1981. There was, however, a predecessor, with two- and four-wheel drive.

The specifications 1500, 2500 and 3500 refer to the possible payload from one half to one ton. Apart from the name, the technology has changed less, but rather the design especially inside. The cabin sizes, 'Standard Cab', 'Extended Cab' in the USA, and the 'Crew Cab' as four-door were retained. Wheelbases of 2.9 m to 4.2 m with boxes of 2 to 2.4 m length were still possible.

Originally, the car was only equipped with an outdated six-cylinder, which got early V8 competition. It itself was replaced by a modern V6. In 1989, a turbodiesel from Cummins was added. Since 2015 is also a modern 3L Diesel available, however with approximately 10,000 euros surcharge to the V8. How long does it take to make winst, despite the high V8 consumption?

Wide range of front design

The choice between RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500 offers the customer the possibility to choose between high load and reasonable driving comfort, with the option to air suspension. The enormous width of the car is particularly noticeable in the interior because of the stately center console, perhaps even more than the length of the vehicle. Because of the already mentioned consumption you will be cautiously approaching German highway speeds, which also keeps the noises low. 08/17
