 2025 BYD Han
Who would have thought Tesla could come under pressure from all sides so quickly? This BYD model is attacking performance. They've increased the engine power in the most powerful all-wheel-drive model by an
incredible amount.
Acceleration to 100 km/h is said to take under 3 seconds. And that's for a full-size sedan. The car combines the absolute performance of a sports car with the spaciousness of a mid-size car.
And how could it be any different for the world's second-largest battery manufacturer? It's even possible to reach 1,000 W charging power, assuming the appropriate chargers are used. From 16 to 80 percent in about 10
minutes.
Whether this version will actually be offered in China for the equivalent of €35,000 is something we'll leave aside for now. In any case, it's already available there and already under considerable pressure.
Apparently, it's even cheaper than its predecessor. The latter recently started at around €70,000. As you can see, the car's quality is so high that it's sometimes sold in the same showroom as Mercedes.
The power output can keep up with that of the most powerful Tesla model, the talk is of 810 kW (1,100 hp). However, Tesla's two battery options are significantly larger. Anyone wanting 100 kWh from BYD will have to go for
the Tang.
It also has a large tailgate and significantly more and better-loadable luggage space. However, the TANG doesn't get much further with the larger battery. At least the HAN now has a frunk.
