Meanwhile, this new line, called Sports Active Coupé has been sold almost 250,000 times. It has become no one-day wonder. On the contrary, others even copy the car and BMW with the X4, too. BMW Individual is no longer sufficient for this car, it is in demand the 'pure extravagance' now, whatever that means ...

The options list has extended again, naturally quasi automatically. One could also report on the luggage space, to open with skillful foot movements, which now has the 40:20:40 split rear seat back and even more volume.

However, it might also be interesting to trace the designers, the undoubtedly had the task this time to make the car more elegant, quasi to let disappear under the eyes of the beholder. At the front, the problem seems to be solvable even in the approach.

Anyway, it has remained at the BMW 'kidneys' with seven racks in each case. But they are now chromed more restrained and have at least above a larger curvature. Overall, they already contribute significantly to de-escalation, but can not dispense with a slightly wider chrome frame. Actually, the distribution of the front mounted parts has hardly changed. Except for the 'kidney' the discreet chrome gloss has been used sparingly.

No, this strange cross braiding has disappeared at all sorts of openings. There it is now, in turn, considerably more profane with only horizontal and vertical lines. To separate fog lights and lateral inlets, a good idea. The latter are designed so mysterious that it makes difficulties to describe them.

Unfortunately, the running boards have remained. It's amazing what still exciting things you can make with rims. On the certainly for elegance too high rear, one may be really excited. Here the designers have worked hard. A slight edge after the other they have prescribed the body here. The rear lights are more differentiated, the reversing lights led in a wider strip.

Overall, the vertical part of the tailgate has a concave shape, runs inwards toward the numberplate and emphasizes this even slightly by to the middle downwardly extending rear lights. Below is still added the chrome strip, so that the viewer gets the impression all matches to some degree.

Comparing, however, the impact surface of the New with the Old, then it was more exciting there. Maybe we'll even see that someone run wild in the sense of the first version of the X6. A final verdict on this car you have to make yourself. I suppose, one may explain oneself biased as writer of this text. 06/14
