To praise a BMW X4 is not that easy. Much of what has been said about the X3, applies to the X4, too. So the front, the sides are identical except the glasshouse and the dashboard. From the 3 Series to the X3 and from the X3 to the X4 there are beautiful regularity in each case about 5,000 euros. It is 4,000 euros more expensive than its predecessor.

However, if you compare the X4 with its predecessor, the latter seems to do much better, although its design is less exciting. The also compared to the X3 narrower rear lights look quite better. It is the farewell of too many beads to more simplicity by concave sheet metal forming.

The rear side panels have almost more charm. Here you can see why rear fenders are sometimes called 'shoulders' for suitably wide tires. From door to door, the rear looks more harmonious.

Compared to the X3 it is 6 cm flatter, the wheelbase grows with 54 mm even a little more than the length of 44 mm. The front and rear seats are arranged a little lower. Luggage space is lost to the X3 by 125/170 liters. The empty weight is hardly reduced with 30 kg with little less tank capacity, also not opposite its predecessor.
