As compared to the pre-war 326, a completely new body was created. The pontoon bodywork was typical for the post-war era. Under the hood, a lot remains the same, naturally, as well the legendary in line 6-cylinder engine. The series production coincides with the foundation of the GDR. Of course, the cars were not used by the average citizen in the german democratic republic, but as official vehicles or taxi especially by the occupying power, the USSR.
