Daytime driving lights as a frame around the headlamps

This is Audi's bestseller SUV and after the A4, the second highest seller in the entire Audi-range. In 2012, it was given a simple facelifting and even more cautious changes to the interior. At the same time, the engines underwent more noticeable alterations, they also reduced the fuel consumption through the standard stop-start-automatic and the Diesel engines were adapted to the stricter exhaust emission laws. They all now have a 23 litres AdBlue tank. What is conspicuous, is the very modest offering of the Q5-hybrid.

The prices for the 3.0 TFSI and the hybrid can hardly be determined ...

The Q5 with the three-litres petrol engine and mild compressor-charging, is apparently also only intended for the testers, since it doesn't appear in the price-list. All together however, the Q5 is a global success. There is also a front-wheel drive model with the smallest Diesel engine and apart from the standard manual six-speed gearbox in a number of models, one also has the option of a seven- or eight-speed automatic transmission.

Comparing it with the competition, e.g., the BMW X3, the Q5 gets good marks for workmanship and on the other hand, it's price is not competitive. Also the Kia Sorento, with its luxury-class impression, could be an opponent, however, despite the lower price, it's depreciation value, e.g., over 3 years and at least 50.000 km on the clock, it will probably come out second best. It is simply very difficult to topple the king of the castle from his throne. 08/15
