Because the car will be presented at the Motor Show in Beijing, one can conclusions about the future buyers. Is it the second step in fulfilling a need or one has the platform of the A4/A5 with four-wheel drive and only needs a new bonnet? In any case, the result can be seen. Whether it is independent enough, consumers must decide.

Anyway, the distance to the Q7 is right with almost 9 cm less in height and 10 cm width less. Revealing, that the wheelbase is shrinking by just 20 cm, but the overall length by more than 45 cm. This means lower overhangs and is good for an SUV.And if the wheelbase increases in proportion to the length, also benefits driving on normal roads of it.

Probably the Q5 will be bought in any case because of its elevated seating position and the supposed security by its higher weight. After all, the cargo volume and the variability are remarkable despite 7 cm less external length compared to the A4. Because the Q5 is also 'only' available with front-wheel drive, the price is interesting compared to the A4 Avant, about 1000 € ... 01/12
