Soon we attained at five meters in length and such an A6 still counts not necessarily to the upper class, although it is not far also from performance and the price structure. This is even possible nowadays with a four-cylinder TDI, the this spacious vehicle brings not only to around 230 km/h, but thereby strongly reduce and even more at the other of the performance scale. There you do not even smiled at the start-stop system.

Yes, the two-liter does not sound quite as noble as the six-cylinder diesel engine, but also the fastidious ear will be quite satisfied except for certain acceleration scenarios. And the acceleration one has, after all, even in the hand or the foot. And the rest corresponds to the high expectations that are associated with Audi now.

And in fact only very active BMW salesman in Audi steerings still traces of influences of the drive. Certainly not any sort of stiffness is felt. The suspension is well behaved at the occupants, not without to satisfy, if necessary, more sporty demands. You still miss the famous, captive dual-clutch transmission, which needs to be well adapted even to individual models of the longitudinal platform.

What should we philosophize about the size of the interior in view of a wheelbase of almost 3 m. After all, there are now even back the station wagon, pardon Avant, if the luggage space should not be enough. Remarkable is, however, in the old and the new A6 this absolutely factual style according with skillful workmanship. The only thing that falls behind is a little wellbeing feel. That is the plushy luxury of some upper class models from the past, the A6 rather seems to nip in the bud. 07/11
