Here are combined A3 and S3 cabriolet, although one can still speak of greater differences. These include not only the sports suspension and a more powerful engine with 221 kW (300 HP), but also the permanent all-wheel drive. Technically more interesting amongst the A3 engines likely to be the 1.4 litres with disengageable cylinders. However, the purchase price has then significantly exceeded the 30,000 euro.

Compare the images (S3) with the video (A3).

One should perhaps better buy the car with extras. At least rearwardly you should do something. For the view on the becoming larger notchback is bad. By the way, it now has 320 litres and a little less with opened roof. So you protect best the rear part with ultrasound or even camera surveillance. Both is available in the sufficiently equipped extra charge list.

Convertibles with soft top are not only good for the remaining luggage compartment. Meanwhile, they even try to break the supremacy of the folding roofs e.g. with regard to noise levels. With regard to the thermal insulation should that be less of a problem. And the rear window is made from glass, thankfully. 02/14
