After the Coupe and the sedan, the Spider is the third car that is presented in the years 1954/55. They all have the same substructure, only the Spider is reinforced. The engines are basically the same, too; different are the valve timing and the carburetor equipment. In 1957, there is a version with 59 kW (80 HP), called Veloce (speed). Two years later, this engine is inserted in the normal version. The achievement of the Veloce version rises to 71 kW (96 HP). The year 1962 does not mark the end of the Spiders, because the production is continued with a slightly changed form as Giulia.
