It is the first car which achieves an average of more than 100 km/h at the Mille Miglia with Nuvolari as driver. It is the third victory in row of this type of Alfa. The car is praised as very light and, nevertheless, robustly. Especially facing difficult weather conditions and long races, the Alfas are in their element. Besides this light Zagato body construction, there are still heavier and more solid ones, for example from Castagna and Touring or even from English manufacturers. As successor of the P2, the Grand sport leads the company up to many successes, among others, the 1,000 miles and 24 hours of Spa.
