What you see here is rather the American middle class with 7.24 meters in length and approximately 2.7 tonnes of gross total weight. However, depending on the interior design, a payload between about 400 and 800 kg is possible. There are Airstream models with more than 9 meters in length.

The 7-meter models are also offered in Germany at prices starting at approximately 90,000 euros. There is also a lighter model for German middle class cars or probably better SUVs, but not much cheaper.

In the USA these campers have a legendary reputation, at least since the Apollo-11 astronauts spent their quarantine time in such a model. There are obviously campsites where only Airstream vehicles are allowed. 01/17
