Function
Consider two turning shafts: the output shaft is twisted in relation to the input shaft depending on the revs.
How it works
The movement of the centrifugal weights against its springs is used with the centrifugal advance device to have the output shaft hurry ahead of the input shaft with rising rev.If the spring is pre-stretched, the movement occurs only from a certain number of revs on. With two or several springs of different characteristics these movements can be distributed to two or several speed ranges. The piston injection pump is one possible application for this system.
