The Fiat 125 S Coupé was the successor to the Fiat 1600 Sport. It was not available in Europe and, unless imported and registered separately, was virtually unknown here.

Let's start this time with the rear, which in both cases was characterized by the relatively flat rear window. It didn't end at the height of the tailgate, but came a little towards it so that there was still a reasonably large opening.

Because on the other side, just behind the transition to the vertical and directly below the horizontal trim strip, it ended. The differences at the rear were more exciting. Here, the 1600 Sport still used the rear lights of the sedan.

Aside from the chrome bars typical of Argentina on the right and left of the two bumper hons, the design was rather understated. The S Coupé adopted the taillights from the Fiat 128, albeit with the same color scheme. Below them were the separate reversing lights.

The reflectors, integrated into the surrounding trim, were very striking. The bumper, on the other hand, was very simple, with no horns and just a generous rubber coating. The chrome strip on the tailgate was interrupted by the model designation.

As different as the two were from behind, they were just as similar from the front, except again for the different bumpers and the fact that the predecessor had additional headlights firmly anchored in the radiator grille, while the successor only the trademark.

To compensate, it has already once been seen with such headlights behind the somewhat more open-pored radiator grille. And the side indicators were not round, but triangular and pointed at the front. The seat upholstery and some of the door trim were finished in an initially striking shade of red.

It wasn't until 1974 that an option in black synthetic leather or corduroy was added. At least there was a center armrest in the rear, which was by no means common in this class. The instrumentation was borrowed from the sedan in its plentifulness.
