Planetary Gearbox

A simple planetary gearbox consists of a sun-wheel (1), planetary wheels (2) and a hollow ring-gear (3). The planetary gears are meshed together through a planet gear carrier. In the following formulae it is
differentiated whether it solidly brakes in reverse gear, whether it is driven by the engine or connected to the axle drive. What is important is the respective allocation of the sun- and hollow ring-gear.

Please take note of the reverse of the rotation direction! |
