Formulary Braking Distance


On a homogeneous movement a homogeneouslyretarded movement follows.

The braking distance is made up of the uniform movement during the reaction (reaction time) and the delayed movement during the actual braking action (braking distance). Please take note of the conversion from km/h to meters/sec!
