The digital technology conquers the trailer. For the trailer of the truck we have this already registered, now we do it with the car- or SUV-trailer. Really biggest problem, the possible lateral wind instability especially with
high-build ones and caravans. Read here a true story from the past.
There is now from AL-KO a kind ESP for trailer. Although the simplicity of an overrun brake does not allow the system to brake individual wheels, but the mere actuation of all the available wheel brakes obviously
makes an end of the trailer's lateral rolling movements. And the best thing is, the system can be retrofitted.
There is a necessary control unit with transverse acceleration sensor mounted in the middle. A second one is currently on the drawbar and measures whether the residential trailer is aligned horizontally. It then
informs the smartphone of the employee directly, who does not need to walk several times between water level and crank.
Altogether the AL-KO systems are summarized under the name 2LINK. Here, relevant information is given to the smartphone by Bluetooth, e.g. the navigation to the next AL-KO service point. The smartphone
determines the world, is suitable for payment, turns itself independently to the all-round photography, triggers us QR codes and what's next? 02/17
